Conference organizers also seek out prosecutors to present legal updates and investigative strategies that will assist homicide investigators. Lastly, as all of us in law enforcement know, suspects do not limit themselves to one particular area; they often times move from city to city or state to state, so having contacts with law enforcement professionals from other jurisdictions can be a vital key in the investigative process. Valuable information is shared through the numerous networking opportunities (which are available after the days’ presentations), and this information is often useful in solving open cases.
