The Michael Jackson Death Investigation
LA County Deputy District Attorney’s Office will present the death investigation case involving pop music superstar Michael Jackson. Jackson died in 2009 from an overdose of a powerful propofol from his personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray.

The Steve Lo Homicide Investigation
Sacramento County DA’s Office will present this unique homicide case where both the victim and main suspect were law Enforcement Officers.

The “Grim Sleeper” Serial Murder Investigation
LAPD Detectives Kilcoyne and Coulter will present the investigative journey of a South LA serial killer the media has dubbed the “Grim Sleeper”. The case is the first of its kind to be solved utilizing “Familial DNA”, identifying the perpetrator’s son which led to the arrest of his father.

Death and DNA… Secrets Revealed!
Department Of Justice, Sacramento County DAs and LA County DAs will be presenting Death and DNA - Secrets Revealed… solving cases from the grave. Across this country, there are thousands of inmates who have died without giving DNA. This presentation will discuss California’s effort to solve cold cases by collecting samples from deceased inmates as well as an overview of the CHOP system--CODIS Hit Outcome Project.

ViCAP
FBI will deliver a presentation on the FBI’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP). ViCAP is designed to facilitate communication and coordination between law enforcement agencies and provide analytical assistance in their efforts to identify, apprehend, and prosecute violent serial offenders. ViCAP personnel provide crime analysis support to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies on homicide, missing person, unidentified human remains, and sexual
assault cases.
